Due to the costs associated with GDS segment fees, US Airways does not allow the creation of billable passive segment bookings. This includes individual as well as group bookings. If it is necessary to enter passive segments for the purpose of issuing passenger itineraries or invoicing, US Airways requires agencies to use a non-billable segment status codes. If billable passive segments are booked, any costs incurred by US Airways resulting from the creation of these segments will be charged back to the responsible agency and a service fee will be added. Below is a list of status codes for each GDS identifying which are billable by the GDS. For specific entries, please contact your GDS.

If you are currently holding billable passive segments, please be sure to use the XK status when canceling your segments. Use of an XX status will generate a cancel message to the airline and space will be cancelled.
