What are Choice Seats?
Choice Seat assignments on the aisle or window in the first several rows of the Coach cabin are available for as little as $5 per flight. If you buy a Choice Seat, you'll board in Zone 2. Passengers may select a Choice Seat during Web Check-in (from 24 hours and up to 60 minutes before departure).
Are Choice Seats priced per flight or each way? In other words, what would I pay if I have a connecting flight?
Choice Seats are sold per flight. For example, if you’re flying from Los Angeles to Philadelphia with a connection in Charlotte, you may purchase a Choice Seat for the first flight to Charlotte and another Choice Seat for the second flight to Philadelphia.
Do all passengers have to pay a fee for a seat assignment?
No. Choice Seats represent approximately 17% of US Airways-operated coach seat assignments. The remaining 83% are assigned free of charge any time after purchasing a reservation.
Can Preferred members select Choice Seats for free?

Will Choice Seats be available on all aircraft types?

Is there a membership fee to purchase Choice Seats?

Why are Choice Seats not available on my flight?
Choice Seats represent approximately eight percent of all seat assignments in the coach cabin, so availability is limited.
Are Choice Seats exit/emergency rows?
No, Choice Seats are not the exit rows.
Are Choice Seats available on all Star Alliance operated flights?
No. Choice Seats are available on US Airways and US Airways Express operated flights only.

After purchasing a Choice Seat, is there a refund if my flight plans change?
Choice Seats are refundable only if US Airways is unable to provide the Choice Seat due to a US Airways-initiated flight cancellation, equipment change, missed connection or denied boarding on oversold flights.
If I volunteer to take a later flight because my original flight is oversold, will I get a refund for my Choice Seat purchase?
We'll try to provide you with a Choice Seat on your new flight. If one is not available, we'll refund your money.
If I'm reassigned to a non-Choice Seat involuntarily but paid for a Choice Seat, what recourse do I have?
In the unlikely event you're involuntarily reassigned to a non-Choice seat, you should contact Reservations for a refund.
Will my Choice Seat purchase be refunded if I purchase a Choice Seat and get upgraded to First Class?
