Star Alliance

The Star Alliance network

US Airways is a member of the Star Alliance network, which was established in 1997 as the first truly global airline alliance to offer customers a worldwide reach and a smooth travel experience. In 2007, the Star Alliance network was, once again, voted the Best Airline Alliance at the Business Traveller Awards. Overall, Star Alliance offers more than 18,100 daily flights to approximately 975 destinations in 162 countries.

The Star Alliance network benefits for our customers include network expansion through codeshare service, Dividend Miles benefits, airport lounge access, convenient single-ticket pricing and one-stop check-in and coordinated baggage handling.

The Star Alliance network includes:
Air Canada, Air China, Air New Zealand, ANA, Asiana Airlines, Austrian, bmi, Egyptair, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Singapore Airlines, South African Airways, Spanair, SWISS, TAP Portugal, THAI, Turkish Airlines, United and US Airways.

As well as 3 regional members:
Adria Airways, Blue 1 and Croatia Airlines.
